Job Summary

Apple is seeking a proven Data Product Manager to join the Apple Video Analytics team. This team seeks to promote productivity and innovation through diverse hiring.

In this role, you will work closely with data engineering teams to develop data solutions. As a data product manager you should understand both big data technologies and the analytics workflow, with the ability to code and trouble-shoot a data pipeline. You will gather business and technical requirements for the data needed to support core Apple video product features and programs, working closely with project managers, analysts, and engineering teams.

Key Qualifications

  • Well-versed in SQL languages

  • Proficiency in Hadoop ecosystem (HDFS, Hive, Spark, Map Reduce)

  • Experience utilizing Tableau to build operational dashboards and persist KPIs

  • Leadership skills to influence and work across product and marketing teams as a partner

  • Ability to work on a diverse team or with a diverse range of people

  • Ability to initiate and deliver a project independently

  • Understanding of media domain and content is beneficial* Description

  • Provide instrumentation and aggregation requirements to engineering teams to identify and close gaps in data

  • Perform ad-hoc analysis

  • Advocate for business data needs across engineering and privacy teams

  • Build dashboards and reports to convey key insights and KPIs to product, engineering, and business teams

Help grow the emerging Apple video products with an aggressive trajectory in the competitive streaming video landscape. Leverage your data domain expertise for stakeholders throughout the organization, guiding decisions on product features, customer experience, and strategic opportunities. You love building narratives backed by data and demonstrate a strong desire to continually improve the customer experience.

This is a full-time position in iTunes and is located in Cupertino, CA.


Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or relevant field. Ideally, Masters in related field.
