The Business Value Consultant lead will work closely with the Sales team to help consult the client in defining potential business value improvements that our solutions can help achieve.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Engaging onsite with clients to perform operational assessments of next generation customer experience applications

  • Document gap analysis of clients’ current versus desired state, identifying specific opportunities for improvement leveraging DataStax capabilities

  • Using in-depth business, technical, and financial analyses to understand the baseline and future capability of the client

  • As part of this analysis, align client strategic business and technical objectives / initiatives with the required capabilities that DataStax provides

  • Producing and presenting the analyses undertaken and consult the client on the impact to business value they can potentially achieve

  • Provide a major contribution in the DataStax high caliber, high expectation, and dynamic sales organization

  • Continuous improvement, specifically help lead and build Value Selling and Realization processes, templates, and tools within DataStax.

Preferred Skills/Background:

  • Proven track record of successful engagements as a Business Value Consultant at a software vendor.

  • Previous consulting role in big 10 firm.

  • Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture frameworks and terminology

  • Experience in business analysis, business process discovery and IT specific business consulting.

  • Experience and inquisitive personality to facilitate interview sessions with wide-ranging client roles and stakeholders

  • Economics, Finance or related degree or experience, graduate degree preferred.

  • Enterprise Business and financial modeling experience

  • Experience and effectiveness in presenting to an executive level audience

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Consulting and business analysis work involving operational databases/deployments, modern technology ecosystems, and/or software development concepts and methodologies.
