Consultant, Analytics and Automation Comcast Assurance & Advisory Team
The Comcast Assurance and Advisory Team (CAAT) is a partner to the Comcast Corporation. CAAT performs quarterly audit and advisory engagements year-round to help identify and manage risks to the business.
Analysts provide support to CAAT engagements by identifying key risks and generating insights for audit scope areas through data analytics and/or identifying efficiencies through automation. With our standard engagement cadence and focus on diversifying our talent, Analysts will be responsible for providing ad hoc reporting, proactive monitoring metrics and analyses, and identifying/executing automation opportunities. In this role, you will gain broad exposure to Comcast Corporation through the audit process.
What You Deliver
-Identifies audit scope areas that can be automated or repeated through data analytics and works with leadership to schedule/implement.
-Identifies opportunities for improvement to team activities, tools, and training.
-Supports department objectives and performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
-Ensures all data is secure and follows company policies around data classification.
-Extracts, manipulates, visualizes, and analyzes accurate, relevant, timely, and cohesive analytics that support the audit lifecycle.
Discusses engagement objectives with other CAAT team members and provides recommendations on potential data analytics to support the audit.
-Analyzes data to determine if businesses are conducting operations in accordance with established policies/procedures, best practices and governmental and legal requirements.
-Applies, where appropriate, analytical models (regression, simulation, statistical, etc.) to audit scope areas to identify outliers, trends and/or projections.
-Uses data concepts, tools and programming techniques including SQL programming, MS SQL Server development, Oracle Business Intelligence, Teradata, Tableau and/or comparable platforms (e.g., Alteryx, Python) to perform ETL and data analysis activities.
-Prepares clear and well-organized analysis, documenting root-cause, work performed, findings, and recommendations.
-Creates graphical reports and executive presentations to effectively summarize analysis and findings.
-As assigned, partners with Automation Specialists to develop technical workflow solution design for automated process opportunities and builds automated processes based on design and technical infrastructure requirements.
-Supports Automation Specialists during UAT and rollout phases.
-Provide support for IT environment set up, testing and production cut-over.
-Assists with analyzing new process automation candidates, assessing feasibility and estimating development effort.
-Assists with sprint planning and execution.
-Partners with process owners to document processes as-is and in future automated state in detail.
-Works closely with Analytic Specialists to assist with the creation of their solution design, ensuring that the technical solution meets business requirements.
-Creates and document test procedures and scenarios for the pre-UAT phases.
-Partners with process owners to complete UAT and works with Analytics Specialists to remediate issues as necessary.
-Supports change control process by documenting change requests / requirements and working with Automation Specialist to implement and complete UAT with process owner.

Educational, experience, and skill requirements:
-Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in Management Information Systems (MIS), Business Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Technology, Engineering, Accounting, Finance or Mathematics with solid academic credentials required.
-Academic minor or relevant experience in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, and/or related Business field(s) of study is a plus.
-CIA, CPA, or CISA certification is a plus.
-1-3 years of experience, business intelligence, consulting, data analysis, compliance, internal audit, or risk experience is preferred.
-Generally requires 2-5 years related experience.
-Knowledge of Cable, Media, or Telecom industry experience is a plus.
-Experience working with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools (e.g., Blue Prism) is a plus.
-Experience with SQL programming, MS SQL Server development, Oracle Business Intelligence, Teradata, Tableau and/or comparable platforms (e.g., Alteryx, Python, R) is preferred.
-Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
