The role as Learning & DevelopmentExecutive Holiday Inn Muscat Al Seeb, you will coordinate all the Learning

& Development activities, ensuring that the hotel is fully conversant with

all aspects of IHG training Standards and to maintain regular contact with

Departmental Trainers to ensure effectiveness and implementation of

departmental Standards. You ensure all new staff undergo hotel orientation and

brand service behaviors training's. You will prepare the monthly training

reports, detailing training activities in the previous month. Also you will ensure that Training activities

are aligned with brand guidelines and support sustainability initiatives and

simplify the Training process for Hotel operational departments. Monitor and

control all post course activities and issue certificates for the related

courses, under the guidance of the Learning & Development Manager.


Qualifications and Technical skills

  • Two years’ experience within training and development

  • Can scope out projects and tasks, develop schedules and plans

  • Able to articulate key messages clearly, understand the information others require to do their jobs and provide timely information

  • Enjoys collaborating with others, seen as a team player, is flexible and easily gains trust and support of colleagues

  • Demonstrative organization and time management capability

  • Proficient in windows based programmes: Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to develop and maintain relationships and manage sensitive situations.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve results.

  • Experience in helping others to develop and apply a different way of thinking, would be advantageous.

  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and proactive.

  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks, priorities and deliver on time, whilst maintaining a focus on quality and targets.
