Certified Addiction Counselor III (CAC III)Must: Be Certified Addiction Counselor III certification with three (3)years' clinical experience. Competency demonstrated in the field ofbehavioral health, particularly in the areas of Evidence Based Practices,diagnosis, and treatment planning. Valid Colorado driver's license,ability to drive, and willingness to travel. Ability to take directions andfollow instructions. Excellence in leadership ability demonstrated. Acceptabledriving record, background check, and drug testSkills: Possess strong oral/written presentation skills with previousexperience in public speaking, report writing, etc. Possesscommunication, technological, analytical, organizational, and problemsolving skills required of the position.Duties: Fully understand and implement Social Detox Policy and Standards.Provide supervision, training, and education, to CAC clinical staff in aSocial Detox setting. Provide clinical assessments/problem identificationas evidenced by review from clinical chart. Develop and monitor treatmentplans/progress notes, documenting significant interaction as evidenced byexamples of treatment plans/progress notes from clinical chart as well asfeedback to staff regarding such. Coordinate services with Acute TreatmentUnit (ATU) Manager for quality inpatient care. Possess properunderstanding of Cultural Competence and the ability to incorporate CulturalCompetency into the treatment setting and documentation as identified bycultural issues noted in the treatment plan and progress notes. Demonstratean appropriate level of courtesy and professionalism with patients, staff,and the public as evidenced by feedback from staff, patients, and thepublic. Demonstrate an understanding of agency policies and procedures byfollowing all policies and procedures and directing coworkers regardingpolicies and procedures. Communicate effectively, orally and in writing,as evidenced by examples of communication. Be accurate and timely inperforming tasks, including clinical documentation, as evidenced by datareports. Participate in and accept supervision, training and education asevidenced by documentation of participation in each area (ie certificates,signed supervision documents).
