Our Opportunity:The Senior Software Engineer IoT is responsible for designing and developingconnected systems to support our smart devices initiative that establishstrong 1:1 relationships with the consumer and will further facilitate thedevelopment of technologies to lead our water and lawns platform forwardtowards the next generation of landscapes. The Senior Software Engineer IoT iscritical in updating and developing modern IoT systems that allow flexibilityfor the user while helping them be more successful in the lawn and garden. TheSenior Software Engineer IoT will support software and technology developmentfor Fertigation, Hydro Systems, Smart Irrigation Controllers, and otherconnected devices.The Senior Software Engineer IoT develops electronics and software thatintegrate into a connected product. This spans various software layers,including cloud based applications and API's, connected firmware, deviceapplications and hardware drivers. These are layer s of software that ensurerobust and reliable operation of connected devices. These parts of softwareare normally invisible to the end user, but are critical to ensuresecurity, reliability and longevity of connected devices. Requirements likeupgradeability and future proofing, end-to-end security and low poweredcomputing platforms drive increasing complexity and place a lot of burden onthese critical layers.The core responsibility of the Senior Software Engineer IoT is to build theseparts of software with excellence.
