WindStream Communications Architect II - Solutions-ISG in Virtual Office NC 0.93, North Carolina
The Solutions Architect is creative, resourceful, polished and professional, with an extensive knowledge of advanced wireless and data products. Candidates for this position must be able to meet with customers and Account Executives to review potential solutions, uncover customer requirements, document requirements, design the solution, present to the customer, and help close business. Solutions Architects are highly trained and knowledgeable about all aspects of technology solutions in the industry and are experts in multiple vendor solutions and provide consultative customer interviews, presentations, and demonstrations to help drive revenue and growth with existing and new customers.
_Primary Responsibilities_ * Meet with potential and existing customers to gather information and requirements. * Assist in closing potential opportunities and presenting to customers. * Interact with customers to ensure strategic direction is with Windstream. * Interact with manufacturers to ensure strategic direction is with Windstream. * Work with Account Executives on registering deals and special pricing. * Participate in training programs and pass expert certification exams on specific product lines. * Work on RFP responses. * Participate in sales forecasting. * Develop and mentor sales staff. * Technical update presentations to customers and internal staff. * Travel to customer sites and perform extensive site survey based designs * Lead remote site survey teams * Assist in customer kickoffs. * Strong communication skills (calls, emails, documentation) * Strong organizational skills (juggle multiple designs, calls, requests, changes) * Entire Microsoft Office Package, including Visio
A qualified individual must have at least five years’ experience designing Wi-Fi solutions. They must be familiar with brand standards of the major hospitality brands or able to become subject matter experts on them very quickly. The individual must have the ability to perform a thorough site survey, design a standards based solution that includes controller based wireless, autonomous switching networks, and guest user gateway access. They must have familiarity with industry standard equipment including but not limited to Cisco, Hewlett Packard, Nomadix, Ruckus, Motorola, Juniper, and Elevenwireless.
College degree in a Technical or related field and 3-5 years professional level experience with 0-1 year supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or 7 years professional level related Technical experience with 0-1 year supervisory experience for roles with supervision; or an equivalent combination of education and professional level related Technical experience required.
