Dignity Health Surgical Tech I (FTE 1.0/Varied) in Santa Cruz, California

The Surgical Technician is responsible for supporting Registered Nurses and Surgeons in the Operating Room. They handle sterile instruments during surgical procedures. They monitor their sterile field and are responsible for the care and maintenance of surgical instruments, supplies and equipment. Working as part of the OR team is essential. Responsible for picking cases and room turn-over after procedures.

Special Training:(including license, plus desired): Required: * Current BLS certification. * Graduate from an approved program for OR Technicians or equivalent (preferred) * CT ORT (preferred)

Experience:(minimum, plus desired): Preferred:

  • 2 years ORT experience/or/completion of an accredited ORT program
