Job Title: Innovation Specialist/Coordinator

Reports To: Senior Director

ROLE PURPOSE

The Innovation Specialist/Coordinator will be responsible for diverse project coordination including planning, directing and controlling resources with a large and complex work scope. Additional responsibilities will include providing administrative support. The position requires an exercise of judgment and initiative that reflects a positive and professional image of the company in internal and external communications.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understands special project needs and devises creative and cost effective ways to meet those needs

  • Collects, prepares, analyzes, and communicates relevant project information to various departments and functions

  • Drives and assists in a variety of business projects

  • Understands client business and is able to develop program/project objectives and business plans

  • Coordinates and directs projects involving analytical reporting and tracking to aid management

  • Studies administrative processes/methods to improve workflow, simplify reporting procedures, or implement cost reductions

  • Serves as a contact for people inside and outside of the company

  • Collaborates with various staff and departments.

  • Develops and maintains effective business relationships and communications with partners and personnel, human resources, technology services, and other divisions of the organization

  • Provide executives with administrative support, including managing the executive's schedule, arranging appointments, travel, meetings, conference calls, etc. May also provide support to executive's direct reports as needed.

  • Coordinates meetings, reserves rooms, catering, set-up and clean-up.

  • Coordinate special projects, events, and promotions.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of two years demonstrated expert administrative skills

  • Project coordination experience preferred

  • Ability to research and analyze business line requirements to provide effective solutions

  • Strong PC skills (proficiency with MS-Word, Excel, Power-Point, Outlook.)

  • Excellent written and verbal skill-sets with attention to detail and follow-up

  • Self motivated, action oriented and results driven

  • Strong interpersonal skills required with a concentration in progressive thinking with a dynamic, outgoing and positive business and management style

  • Excellent time-management, communication, technical writing, presentation development, and facilitation

  • A dependable team player with business maturity, enthusiasm and a positive attitude

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with strict statutory deadlines in a collaborative manner among several internal groups and external parties

  • Potential and appetite to serve in a leadership role, thorough gained knowledge and experience of processes and resources
