Project Engineer (Mechanical Engineering) Jackson, TN
Kelly Services is currently seeking a Project Engineer for one of our top clients in Jackson, TN.
As a Project Engineer for our client, you will be responsible for determining project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, competitive products, and performance standards. You will also complete technical studies and prepare cost estimates.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
Developing project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with management. Determining project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements. Confirming product performance by designing and conducting tests. Analyzing test failures to determine root cause and recommend/design solution(s) to eliminate failures. Determining project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements. Maintaining project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems. Controlling project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.
BSME (or equivalent combination of education, training and experience). 5 plus years engineering experience in electro-mechanical design and/or gasoline engine design. OPE experience Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proven history coordinating or managing projects. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to accomplish assigned goals with minimal supervision. Ability to meet attendance standards. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Travel is required approximately 10% - 15% of the time, but could vary to support need.
