Position: Employment SpecialistDepartment: Workforce DevelopmentReports to: Director, Workforce DevelopmentExempt/Non Exempt: Non-ExemptSummary: The Employment Specialist assists in the development of employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities, and also provides job coaching and career discovery activities as needed.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assist assigned program participants (caseload) in the development, implementation, monitoring and updating of Individual Plans that include specific goals related to their vocational progress.Provide job coaching services as required for all individuals on caseload when needed.Provide career discovery activities as appropriate, for individuals enrolled in Supported Employment.Evaluate, monitor and document program participant's progress in accordance with funding source regulations and League policies and procedures.Complete and submit daily and/or monthly reports for each participant, as required.Serve as The League's liaison with the program participant's DORS counselor, Service Coordinator, employer and family, as required.Actively participate in each program participant's Individual Team Meeting (Annual and Interim).Provide assistance in obtaining employment related supports (i.e., transportation, assistive technology, reasonable accommodations, as required.Remain knowledgeable about local labor market trends, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and other laws and regulations related to vocational rehabilitation.Provide mobility training as assigned.Maintain complete and accurate participant files.Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Employment ServicesDemonstrate the 5 Core Values of The League (Accountability, Participant Focus, Quality, Independence and Mutual Respect).
